Transition to Secondary school

It was a really positive visit and the children thoroughly enjoy their time with KIC Theatre!

Year 6 are preparing for their residential trip this weekend, and there’s lots of excitement stirring around the classroom. I’m sure they are going to have an amazing few days and will have so much to talk about when they are back in school on Monday – I’m looking forward to the stories they will tell!

Year 2 have been practicing hard for their assembly next Friday, 15 June – it should be a lovely performance.

See you at the gate.

Hello Everyone.

What a fantastic Sports day we had today!!  I think it's safe to say that the children, staff and parents, thoroughly enjoyed the day.  The support from families and friends was brilliant so a big pat on the back to you.

The events organised today were a fabulous array of sports ranging from hurdles, to obstacle courses, to javelin to beat the goalie.  A perfect opportunity for the children to show off their amazing sporting skills.  I know I was certainly wanting to have a go on the space hopper!

The races were amazing.  The relay, fancy dress and year groups showed such determination from the children and their fellow classes supporting them from the sideline was a joy to listen to.  Now, the parents on the other hand....... were wonderful!!  So supportive, and yet so willing to join in the fun with the children that the races were the best I think the school has seen - so many took part and for that we all thank you.  I hope you're not all aching too much tomorrow :)

As for the teacher's race...... I just want to say, well done to everyone but I'm still bruised from finishing 2nd.

I can honestly say, that was a truly well organised and fun sports day and I take my hat off to all the staff and children involved.

See you on the gate
