Our Community MAT

Our Community Multi Academy Trust is a group of town, city and village schools that have joined together to provide the very best education for the children in our care and where we believe that education is very much a matter of the individual.

Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors I would like to welcome you to our school.

Dymchurch Primary School is a hard-working and fun school community which has every child's development at its heart. We are proud to be part of Our Community Multi Academy Trust, a group of ten schools under the leadership and guidance of Chief Executive Officer Mr David Whitehead.

As an Executive Headteacher, I am in charge of the strategic running of Dymchurch Primary School and Petham Primary School, and I divide my time between the two schools. Miss Chellen, the Deputy Headteacher is in charge of the day-to-day running of the school, with the support of our dedicated staff. We have around 170 children on roll, divided into 7 classes. We are a busy, friendly school, with lots going on.

We are committed to providing a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment where each one of our pupils can achieve their potential and flourish academically and socially. We have high expectations of all our pupils and endeavour to nurture their self-confidence and self-esteem so that they can develop to their full potential.

This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.

Our Vision and Values

Respect, Learn, Believe and Achieve

Our school values of Respect, Learn, Believe and Achieve are simple, yet essential for success, both in school and in life.  These qualities will stay with our children a lifetime, and will provide the mind-set they need to succeed in all they do.

As our children embark on their journey of discovery and development, our school and the community around it needs to play its part. We will work with you to ensure that during their time with us they become curious, confident learners, show respect for each other and those around them, and keep themselves and others safe. Ultimately we aim that they become ambitious in their thinking and their dreams for the future.
