Safeguarding
Dymchurch Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, and requires staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.
We have five trained Designated Safeguarding staff members.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is:
Miss Patricia Chellen – Deputy Headteacher (headteacher@dymchurch.kent.sch.org)
Our Deputies are:
- Mrs Babiche Deysel - Executive Headteacher
- Mrs Sarah Cooper – Family Liaison officer (FLO)
- Mrs Belinda Metcalfe - SENCO
- Mrs Celine Couchman - Class Teacher
The role of a DSL is to ensure that our pupils are safe both in and outside of school. If you have any worries or concerns about a situation that your child, or any other, is facing, please do not hesitate to contact us.
f your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff (which could suggest that s/he is unsuitable to work with children) then you should report this to one of the DSLs in confidence, (or the Chair of Governors if the concern relates to the Headteacher) who will consider what action to take.
