Welcome To Dymchurch School
"At Dymchurch we are proud of our school; you will find a friendly and family atmosphere where we get to know each child whilst fostering a sense of community responsibility. We aim to provide a safe, supportive and encouraging environment in which children's learning is paramount, whilst ensuring that their school days are enjoyable.

I hope you find the information on our website useful and informative, but obviously the best way to get a real feel about us is to visit Dymchurch, look around and meet the children and staff. Please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange a visit."

Parent Forum
Parental Engagement is an essential and proven part of any childs education.
Many schools have an active Parent Forum and Dymchurch would like to set one up also. It would be a regular meeting of parents / carers / staff and possibly even key community members, to discuss the needs of our children and develop great ideas to help them enjoy learning and establish a solid base for their future.
A Parent Forum (or Council) is a body which:
- enables parents to meet, share ideas and feed back to the school
- gives parents a voice and enables them to contribute to school decision making
- helps develop a partnership between parents and school
- consults parents and advises the governing body of parents’ views.
(Lots of schools have their minutes available online if you want to get a feel for what's discussed!)
We need parents/carers from each year group to take part - there would be regular face to face meetings, which could be enhanced by an online forum for members if wanted - but before we set everything up we would like to engage peoples opinion on its usefulness or whether there are alternatives you would prefer first. Please take time to answer the question below - and provide your thoughts. Thank-you
